Something similar happened over here with our chips...
They used to taste amazing when they were cooked in beef dripping. Now they're cooked in vegetable oil and they just don't taste the same.
I'm not a big fan of fries but McDs are probably the best on the high street. KFC fries are sad and soggy. BK fries are just unimpressive.
Been a while, but BK had processed, or pressed fries for a while . Wendy's was awesome, and the best for a time. Anything taken home now sucks, and Wendy's fries taste like the bag. DQ fries in their boxes are okay, but they're pressed also. Here in my city, anyway. Shakey's used to do really good fries but they've changed now too.

Why do I do this to myself? Talk about fast food when on a diet...?
Seeing as it's not as good as it used to be, you're not missing out

Remember McDonald's French fries before the change? Bring a young modern day McD addict back in time to the early 70's and you'll see a great "Orgasm Guy" impersonation. Something similar happened over here with our chips...

Did your KFC have actual French fries or were they thick potato wedges (what we call Jojos)? I don't think I've ever seen regular fries at a KFC around here.

Do you guys get gravy in KFC and of so, what do you put it on? No rude answers, please.

The change in fries at Wendy's was worse, they're terrible now. KFC changed too. Imagine Cartman traveling to the 70's You had fries at KFC too? Must be a regional thing.

Oh. j/k Usually just the potatoes. I might dip a biscuit in it (not a metaphore ). I heard people like dipping the crispy skin in it, but I get the Original recipe. I mean I used to get the Original recipe.

Are you on a diet? I attempted a reduced calorie diet before the holiday. I was trying to lose 3kgs before going away. Never worked. I need to try again. I used to be quite svelte back in the day

Only good fresh, and if it's a piece larger than 4 inches. Otherwise dry, tough, and worthless container space filler unless you give a pet people food. Even then, I'd call PETA on ya'

I mean I used to get the Original recipe. Mash? We don't get mash in the UK KFCs. We tend to dip the chicken in the gravy. The more adventurous - like me - will dip their fries. If you ever come off that diet, you should try dipping the hotwings in the gravy. Delicious

Gravy? I wouldn't go to KFC if they didn't have gravy I put it on my mashed potatos and I dip my biscuit in it (thats not a euphemism).

Haven't been there in years, but my favorite fries were always from Chili's.
