Vaginal bead string. I'm gonna have to confer with the better half on that one

Not entirely random, but the raging debate around here recently is whether or not a hot dog is a sandwich. What say you?

It's meat in a bun. Take it or leave it. They call it hot dog. That's what it is. If someone came up to me and asked me what kind of sandwich I was eating, I would laugh and ask them if they ever heard of hot dogs before. And if they tried to quip that technically it's a sandwich, I would just walk away.

We call this kind of sandwich a hot-dog, just like we don't say "corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss, with Russian dressing on rye, please." - we just ask for a Reuben. We don't ask for a tube of spiced pork meat & offal. We just ask for a hot-dog. Ham & cheese on French toast? Croque Monsieur. Same with a fried egg on top, Croque Madame. Labels aren't a bad thing.

I agree it's a sandwich. Interestingly, the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council has chimed in claiming otherwise. I realize it's just marketing to get folks talking, but it's a short and fun take on the subject.

They need a comment section on that site. Almost every thing they list can be summed up neatly by my statement here.

If I fell over in a forest and no one is around to give me sympathy, did it actually hurt?

An old girlfriend once dumped me for keeping too many secrets. Apparently, dating a dark horse can be a real nightmare...

What exactly does that little boy who lives down the lane do with a bag of black wool...?

Wishing upon a star is a physical impossibility! If the radiation doesn't finish you off, you'd be vaporized before you could get close enough. The nonsense singing crickets put in our children's heads...

I gotta say, I know Jost and Che are raging liberals, but MAN are they funny.

What exactly does that little boy who lives down the lane do with a bag of black wool...? Where do you think that roll neck sweater on it's way for your next birthday comes from? Space monkeys?

I always thought the semicolon in "TL;DR" was interesting. If you're going to shorten something to first letters, why bother to punctuate? And if you are going to be punctuating, where's the period?

I fear for this "tl;dr" crowd. Bad enough when fully grown adults do it, ones you think are intelligent enough to read, y'know, actual sentences & paragraphs. Now, think about the younger generation - going into law, or to be a doctor, looking at their textbooks, thinking "OMG, tl;dr" and this might be the person you call to litigate a case or to cut something out of you.
