I've noticed that one word and one phrase are becoming increasingly popular in today's culture... Unpack - I hear this on the news all the time. "Yes Bob, we haven't had a chance to unpack the President's speech yet." AF - I love this one. "That badger was mad AF when I plugged up his hole."

Do you pronounce that Grove-nor-dale? In UK, Grosvenor is a posh name pronounced Grove-nor.
And seriously... It's classed as a village with a building this size?!
Over here, villages are quaint little collections of old buildings in the country, with about 2 shops and pub.

Do you pronounce that Grove-nor-dale? In UK, Grosvenor is a posh name pronounced Grove-nor. Yeah we do! I think there are a lot of British pronunciations around here still. Norwich is "Nor itch" no W, Worcester is "Woo ster", Leominster is "Lemon ster", etc
[/quote] That's just an old mill (and that's an old picture), we have tons of them around here. If it wasn't for this mill, there'd be no people living there in the first place (only like 1000 people) and therefore no village to begin with 😋 These mills were either converted to condos, made into indoor flea markets, or demolished. This one was demolished.

I'm fascinated by haunted buildings. We (reportedly) have quite a few in my county, Hampshire. Some sources say it's the most haunted county in the UK, if not the most haunted place in the world (...not sure how they'd qualify that). It's mostly traditional hauntings, e.g. previous occupants who met a tragic end, but we have the odd celebrity such as Oliver Cromwell. Although he didn't die in Hampshire, it's alleged you can see his ghost marching his troops north following a successful battle campaign.
Some of these old haunted buildings are run as hotels for patrons wishing to stay in a haunted house. Anyone up for it...?
