So reprints count? (Beware #1 is all reprints) Could you link it that way? Menace #3 (1953) is reprinted in Beware #1 Beware # 1 is etc etc etc. Reprints currently count...although I've been thinking that maybe they shouldn't. Maybe have a rule that states all books must be "original material" or something. The main thing is no TPB, Omnibus, HC, etc. But you can only link per the rules.

Although I didn't see it mentioned, should I assume variant covers(generally) don't count for purposes of the game?

I've avoided them during game play, but they aren't specifically called out in the rules. There's a lot of variant hatred out there (I'm not a fan either), but it might be interesting to allow them since it might provide an easily overlooked connection. What do you guys think? The month is coming to a close, and this game went through some big rule changes during that period, so we should probably solidify the rules for next month's game. I was initially lukewarm to this game, but I'm liking it more and more now. The fun part for me is digging through the databases and finding connections and patterns that I didn't know existed. I'm learning a lot, and that always peaks my interest.

I'll just go ahead and say it's also "whet your appetite" and "pore over a book" to get those out of the way.

Also, are you sure Polaris appears in X-Factor #257? I see her in 256 and then in 260.

Lorna Dane first appeared in X-Men 49. I think Polaris first appearance is X-Men 97. First Appearance (As Lorna Dane) X-Men #49 (1968), (as Magnetrix) X-Men: The Hidden Years #3 (2000); (as Polaris) X-Men #97 (1976)

This is exactly why this game is cool. I love these kinds of conversations.
