It was a lot of fun- more than I expected.

Lots I'm sure. Recent ones would be Captain America Winter Solider LOVED IT!! I think the fighting scenes are much better than Civil War.Suicide Squad Haven't seen it yet.The Hulk - Eric Bana one The madder Hulk gets, the BIGGER Hulk gets! But Jennifer Connelly, so...The new Superman ones (one?) The MOS films? I'm not a devoted Supes fan, so I thought these films had their moments. I think the DVD release of BvS was much better than the theatrical release. I'm not much of an Affleck fan, but I thought he did a fine job in BvS. Superman roars too many times in MOS Then earlier ones like.. Green Lantern I'm not a fan of Reynolds. He's always Ryan Reynolds. I didn't care for Deadpool either. I don't think it was a bad film- it just did nothing for me.Ghost Rider The opening graphics (the Road thru Hell?) are the best part. IMOPunisher Dolph Lundgren or Thomas Jane? I kinda like the Jane film, but I don't think it was great. I liked the short internet film he did when he does his laundry. That was fun.Daredevil Never saw it. See above. Someday, but I'm not in a hurry since I'm really not much of a DD fan. For me he's one of those characters I like better when in a team; like Iron Man in The Avengers, but no interest in his title.Dunno what all else I am missing

Green Lantern Ghost Rider Punisher Daredevil Dunno what all else I am missing Captain America Winter Solider - Good Suicide Squad - Much better than the reviews. There's no complex plot to make your brain hurt, so if you want an intelligent movie, steer clear. It's essentially Smith & Robbie stealing the show, with an unexpected superb performance from one of the minor characters. The Hulk - Only if you have nothing better to watch! The new Superman ones (one?) - Both great but I like DC. Man of Steel - A grittier Superman for a modern generation. Watch Cavill do what Reeve wouldn't. (Disclaimer: Reeve is still the best IMO). Essentially an alien invasion movie with Superman as the hero. Great fight scenes and the opening sequence is amazing. Batman vs Superman - only watch the extended cut as the editing is much better. If you want a non-stop action movie, stick to Marvel. Green Lantern - The extended version is much better than almost anyone gives it credit for. It's let down by the villains and feels a little dated, but is definitely entertaining. Ghost Rider - It's been a while since I watched it. It's Nicolas Cage, so you can't go wrong... Punisher - Thomas Jane's Punisher is worth a watch. Daredevil - Avoid. Awful. Watch Electra instead. It's even worse but Jennifer Garner has the starring role in this one

Was General Zod (or any of them) thought to have survived his fate in Superman II?

Was General Zod (or any of them) thought to have survived his fate in Superman II? Now that's an interesting question! There's a deleted scene that shows Zod, Ursa and Non being taken away from the Fortress of Solitude by Arctic police... Some argue this "proves" they didn't die. Personally I think the scene was cut to make their ends more final.

The end credit teaser clip (or whatever they're called) reminded me of an old Dave Allen joke about an Irishman finding a magic lamp on a beach. Being skeptical of the Genie's 3 magic wishes offer, his first wish is for a bottle of Guinness. When it appears in his hand, he happily drinks it down. The Genie then informs him it's a magic bottle that refills every time it's emptied. Sure enough he looks down in surprise and it's full again. He quickly downs it again, and it magically refills again! He looks at the Genie in excitement and asks, "I have 2 more wishes?" "Yes" says the Genie. "I wish for 2 more of these!" the Irishman says.

I understand how some will take this as proof, but if it doesn't make the final cut/edit, it's as relevant as alternate endings IMO.

Exactly And the point behind the Senate's involvement in BvS is that Superman DOES kill (earthlings). He just didn't mean to. I understand the appeal of a world with no killing, and of a Hero who WILL NOT KILL, but when NOT killing a villain will almost assuredly result in the deaths of millions, then killing that villain becomes a PERSONAL sacrifice of the Hero's ideals. But a sacrifice for the better good.

For a good movie (IMHO) try Hacksaw Ridge. 8 out of 10.
