This is cool, if you click "Super Rad Radio" on Wednesday 11/20 at noon it tells you every song they played on the Metal show. I missed Dethklok's "Murmaider" www.wcniradio.org/schedule/

The original rap rock song, this came out way before Walk This Way. I'm gonna say that's closer to "Beat It" than "Walk this Way". Nice pop song.

I'm just saying, Run DMC didn't need to do that Walk This Way duet with Aerosmith to create a rap/rock crossover, they did it all by themselves 2 years earlier

I don't get the joke, but picturing Bob Ross working in the studio with the band and tipping back bottles of JD makes me chuckle. Maybe Bob has a bit of paint on his face as well. One of Bob's trademark lines was "When painting there are no mistakes, just happy little accidents" I'm getting even further away from understanding the joke. Maybe I need to brush up on my Slayer knowledge.

I'm just saying, Run DMC didn't need to do that Walk This Way duet with Aerosmith to create a rap/rock crossover, they did it all by themselves 2 years earlier I agree, but certainly having Aerosmiths name attached got them attention on mainstream radio. Rap didn't shy away from metal in the 80's. Of course Beastie Boys, but UTFO and Public Enemy made it part of their sound. There's some current hip-hop artists that have metal influences. I'll have to dig up a few tracks as examples.

Just been to see "Cattle Hill" with my daughter. Don't bother, it's pretty bad, but this song was used in the movie. Took me ages to track it down on the 'net...

Maybe I need to brush up on my Slayer knowledge. It doesn't have anything to do with Slayer really. Reign in Blood was so short it all fit on one side of a cassette. Growing up we also had a cassette of Too Fast for Love like that, with the entire album on each side. AFAIK it was not supposed to be like that and I never saw another like it but we loved it. So I just called this glitch/manufacturing error a happy little accident.

PE sampled Slayer on Channel Zero and had a shout out to Anthrax before they did Bring The Noize together.. Ice T had Body Count. I was also just reminded that "Jungle Love" has a great guitar solo at the end of the unedited version. Not really familiar with UTFO.
