That's two things I learned about squonk today. Bats must be a hipster vaper!
They wouldn't let me in the club. No hair to coiffure. No big bushy beard. An aversion to spending more money on one pair of low-riding jeans than will be spent in the entire Brexit fiasco.
I believe a "squonk" is some sort of customised vape. Probably more British slang...
What I read was "vape mod" so yeah same thing. My boys are always talking about "modded" stuff but it's all video game related.

Oh yeah, and pull your f**king jeans up! "White dude's can't jump or dance Especially when their butt is hanging out of their pants Now what the hell is that all about? Here's a big boot to your ass hanging out! Your pants are falling down Could you find 'em any bigger? Please stand up, please stand up Pull your pants up, will you pull your pants up!"

TOTT is an awesome album. Squonk is one of my favs too. I looked up the word "squonk" and it's not just a Don Martin sound effect I also found this The rock band Steely Dan mention the creature in the song "Any Major Dude Will Tell You" on their 1974 LP Pretzel Logic with the lyric "Have you ever seen a squonk's tears? Well, look at mine." All early Genesis fans know the history of Squonk, but I hadn't run across the Steely Dan connection before. That's funny. Ev'rybody talkin' 'bout Squonk.

Kinda forgot about this song. Journey could rock with Steve Perry. It's a shame they went all wussy adult contemporary crap later in the 80s.

Journey didn't rock much until they got Steve Perry (but you probably liked that jazz fusion stuff too )
