Someone should sue. Putting Darth Vader on a unicorn is outrageous!

Let's start with a serious question... Why choose CBCS? Depends on the book you're having graded. I use CBCS for some books, CGC for others. Most of the books I have graded tend to be copper thru moderns, those I sub thru CGC. Modern collectors are unaware that CBCS's graders, mostly started out at CGC....and CGC has better brand recognition, simply due to being around over a decade longer than CBCS. Modern collectors tend to not be very well thought out in their buying habits i.e. they buy hot books etc. However, there is certainly a subset of collectors who adamantly believe that CBCS grades tighter than CGC, which I disagree with. Neither company is tighter than the other, on average, and both companies can be fairly inconsistent in grading. That said, that subset of collectors will pay higher prices for CBCS graded books. Caveat being that the books need to be listed at Buy It Now format, especially moderns. I can go into much more detail, if you'd like.

I can go into much more detail, if you'd like. By all means. You haven't answered the question beyond it being a preference. What are the benefits of CBCS over CGC?

Whuzzat?
I did not indicate any personal preference between CGC and CBCS. My personal preference, if I even had one (which I do not) is wholly redundant.
I use both CGC and CBCS for different books, for a slew of differing reasons.
What I did say regarding the preference of some buyers....and the personal preference of some buyers/collectors of CBCS over CGC (or vice versa) has a pretty strong bearing on what the given buyer(s) will pay for a book(s):
" However, there is certainly a subset of collectors who adamantly believe that CBCS grades tighter than CGC, which I disagree with. Neither company is tighter than the other, on average, and both companies can be fairly inconsistent in grading. That said, that subset of collectors will pay higher prices for CBCS graded books. Now that I finished qouting myself, I have to add that if you want me to answer your question, you really need to make it less of an all encompassing question.
Otherwise, I'll have to spend an hour and change writing about a dozen paragraphs.
There are also some reasons why I use CBCS to grade some books, and I use CGC to grade some other books, that I have no interest in disclosing, at all. Stating those reasons would make CGC and CBCS look bad, in differing areas.
That is one of the biggest reasons why I have always publically defended both CBCS and CGC, while remaining wholly neutral, from posts on message boards and Facebook that smear/bash CGC in favor of CBCS and vice versa.
The other reason being that CBCS is the only legitimate competition to CGC; competition forces both CGC and CBCS to improve. Which benefits everyone that buys and sells third party graded books.
"...competition would start kicking in and...."
Scroll to the 3:15 minute mark for the LOLZ.

I appreciated that. That's why I asked "what are the benefits of CBCS over CGC?"
Those are probably the answers I was looking for.

You wont tell us because it'll make them look bad? That's pathetic. That last part reminds me of NewShane on the CGC board. He states he knows a lot of big dealers who press every book they sell but can't/won't supply even one name when asked

He won't say because he has no interest in disclosing, AT ALL. That is not pathetic. It is his choice and his personal line to not cross. What is pathetic is that anyone gives a damn, or that a person believes he/she/it is entitled to any other answer, or that he/she/it thinks they are so important that they deserve any other answer, and continue believing in their personal importance by speaking for anybody else, i.e. "....you wont tell US...." That is pathetic.

That sucks. "A couple of people mentioned to me that they observed him switching comics..."
I wonder if this was after the fact, or while he was doing it?
