Went to an antiques mall once and one of the areas had comics-dude priced everything at comic guide mint prices  :D
Antique malls and good comics don't mix! I have never seen good comics at one and I've been to dozens across many states. Just not an item that they stock or know anything about really. I think antique dealers if they think of it at all, have a 'comic guy' or 'paper guy' that they call in whenever they run across that sort of thing and if it's worth anything they'll take it cheap and that's the end of that.

They tend to think along the lines of "This comic is 50 years old!!!"

Did some dollar box diving yesterday, the Junk Shop had nine new longs in, but they were 'from a new guy' and there wasn't much there. I think I got about 20 comics, pretty bad. Also hit up a new spot (to me) some warehouse with a bunch of junk in it. There were about a dozen longs and I managed to find about 60 comics at a buck each. Found a few that I liked, my usual stuff. There were some good 80s indies in these boxes.

I just called somewhere and asked a question and the lady said she would find out and call me back. I said omg you will be the first person to ever call me back! She said what do you mean? I said no one ever calls back. She laughed and said I will call you back.

She never called me back.
Sounds right!

pics gone again.  deleted.

WHY
Dunno, I am not getting involved in an image hosting site ever again.  I am STILL getting notifications from Photobucket that my account is about to be deactivated.  I wish they would just deactivate it already.
I have never used an image hosting site.  I just get an image from Google or facebook, open image in new tab and copy the web address.

Oh, and the Junk Shop that I mention so frequently here is in the basement of a thrift shop on Merrick Road in Baldwin.

I told Juan about it but he's too fancy for it!
